The West Bengal Primary Teacher Eligibility Test (WB Primary TET) is the popular state-level eligibility test of West Bengal conducted through the West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE).

Applicants will be selected for the post of teacher in primary for all schools of West Bengal State and those candidates who want to get this opportunity, can apply in this examination based on their eligibility criteria.

Candidates must have the qualified marks in this examination to get their aspiring opportunity. Through this content, candidates will get detailed information on the West Bengal Primary Teacher Eligibility Test (WB Primary TET) in which includes WB Primary TET Eligibility.

The applicants must fulfill the following minimum eligibility conditions as prescribed by NCTE from time to time to be eligible to appear for WB TET exam:

• Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent 10+2) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year diploma in Elementary Education (DEIEd)

• Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent 10+2) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEIEd)

Or

• Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent 10+2) with at least 50% marks and having Diploma in Education (Special Education), recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI)

Or

• Graduation and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (DEIEd)

Note: 5% relaxation of marks in Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary or its equivalent examination 10+2 (ie 45%) will be allowed for the SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PH, Exempted Category, an ex-serviceman, and DH (Death-in-harness) category candidates.
