WB Police SI Syllabus : Prelims Exam Pattern

Before we get into the WB Police SI Syllabus, let us first have a look at the preliminary exam pattern. The WB Police SI Prelims Exam Pattern gives an insight into the sections or subjects that the Exam will have.

  1. The Pre Exam (Screening Test) Will be Written Objective Type.
  2. A Preliminary Examination to be held on General Studies, Logical & Analytical reasoning, and Arithmetic.
  3. A Preliminary Examination Will Consist of Total 200 Marks
  4. There will be a negative marking for each wrong answer in the preliminary examination. ¼th of the allotted marks for a particular question will be deducted for each wrong answer.

WB Police SI Final Competitive Examination

Candidates who qualify for the PET and PST are going to appear for the Final Competitive Examination to complete the recruitment process. The main key points are highlighted below:

  • The final Combined Competitive Examination will consist of Three Papers of Conventional Type of Questions.
  • The Exam Will be of 200 Marks.
  • All the papers are held on the same day.
  • Paper-I will be set in three languages i.e. English, Bengali, and Nepali.

WB Police SI Personality Test

Those candidates who scored good enough marks to clear the cut off are going to appear for the personality test (interview). This is a personality assessment exam conducted by the WBPRB and the candidates must score 8 marks in the test out of 30, failing which they will be disqualified.
